Description

Evening glow Wasdale Valley Print

Wastwater the Lake  is almost 3 miles long and more than one-third mile wide. It is the deepest lake in England at 258 feet, and is owned by the National Trust

We welcome you to our Lake District based Gallery in Windermere. The stunning Windermere village grew around the railway station, about a mile and a half from the lake. The village was originally called Birthwaite, but the railway company decided to call the station after the lake. Over the years, the village has become merged with the older lakeside town of Bowness-on-Windermere, though the two have quite separate centres. We have many cafes and Independent shops here. And a 20 minute walk brings you to Bowness-on-Windermere. The beautiful Lakeside and from above the town is the stunning views of The Langdale Pikes and so much more.
