Little Langdale – Langdale Valley Print

Little Langdale Valley Lake District Print containing Little Langdale Tarn and a hamlet also called Little Langdale. A second tarn, Blea Tarn, is in a hanging valley between Little Langdale and the larger Great Langdale to the north. Little Langdale flanked on the south and southwest by Wetherlam and Swirl How. The valley descends to join with Great Langdale above Elterwater. Today roads from Little Langdale lead west over Wrynose Pass and Hardknott towards Eskdale, northwest by Blea Tarn to Great Langdale, northeast to Elterwater and east to the Skelwith Bridge – Coniston road.

My style of painting is one which has developed over time and is still evolving with each new painting. And I try to capture a sense of realism of being there, without being a slave to photo realism. Its also important to keep pushing the boundaries of what your comfortable with, not to settle into a formula of what works.
