Old Friends – Langdale Lake District Picture
Country scenes and farms are something I like doing a lot, especially with Oils. I love the glow of a fire shining out of a window in the distance. It makes me want to be inside warming in front of a roaring fire. For me there’s nothing like the magic of the landscape. Some people could call them twee, but for me they are wrapped up in a kind of nostalgia. A comforting warmth and cosiness that’s hard to describe but a real draw to paint, something you feel inside.
