Winter Blues Snow Scene
Snow scenes are something I like doing a lot, especially with Oils. I love the glow of a fire shining out of a window in the distance. It makes me want to be inside warming in front of a roaring fire. For me there’s nothing like the magic of snow on the landscape. It changes an ordinary scene into a something much more special. Some people could call them twee, but for me they are wrapped up in a kind of nostalgia. A comforting warmth and coziness that’s hard to describe but a real draw to paint, something you feel inside.
We welcome you to our Lake District based Gallery in Windermere. Over the years, the village has become merged with the older lakeside town of Bowness-on-Windermere, though the two have quite separate centers. We have many cafes and Independent shops here. And a 20 minute walk brings you to Bowness-on-Windermere. The beautiful Lakeside with stunning views of The Langdale Pikes and so much more.
